1101 General Business and Industry, 0341 Administrative Officer, 0346 Logistics Management, 0501 Financial Administration, 0560 Budget Analyst, 1105 Purchasing, 1109 Grants Management are a few that comes to mind.

Of course the higher grade you presently are and the grade you are looking for has a huge impact. Also I remember something about if you are looking for another job and it’s a result of an adverse situation, you can take a downgrade and keep your present salary for a period like two years.

The best thing to do is tailor your resume for each position you are applying for.

Thanks for the insight. Scary times to be an 1102. I think the long-term opportunities in this field are gone, and not sure if industry is going to be any better. I would not recommend the Federal Government anymore to any of my younger family members.

Personally, I think it's a thrilling time to be an 1102. Whether you view the times as a comedy, tragedy, or horror show, the times are anything but boring. Fill your mental bucket of popcorn and enjoy the show.

As for opportunities? We all make what we can of our world. Opportunities will still abound. They may not be what or where you envisioned, but they'll be there. If you are looking for the "safety" or "certainty" of a government job, welcome to the rest of the world. Be willing to assume some risks. Be willing to be creative.
